You can admire, watch and study more than 700  animal species. In the zoo, there is something for everyone, from planetarium till big game and from butterfly till a baby gorilla. In Artis, you even can find Micropia, where you can learn everything about microbes in our daily life. The park itself is more than 140.000 m2 big.

“Artis” the Amsterdam-Zoo

Story’s of the zoo keeper:

A great experience for young and the old are the story’s from the zookeeper. Together watch the caterpillars become, hunting techniques from lions and washing elephants. Every day there are more than 10 stories at the different animal pen. 

How to get there:

You can travel to the Amsterdam Zoo by public transport. You also can choose to hike. It’s only about a mile from De Dam and across from the Resistance Museum.
